Founded by Dr. Jeanie Marino, a licensed social worker and fitness professional, Holistic Mind & Muscle integrates psychotherapy with fitness to create a holistic approach to mental health. Our mission is to provide individuals with the tools to overcome trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges through a unique blend of talk therapy and fitness-based therapy.

Our Story
Our journey started with a simple yet powerful idea: that the mind and body are deeply connected, and addressing one without the other leaves a gap in healing.
Our founder, Dr. Jeanie Marino, realized this while studying the impact of trauma on first responders like police officers and firefighters. She saw how these professionals struggled with the mental toll of their jobs, and she wanted to help. Through her innovative TheraFitness program, she combined therapy sessions with strength training, giving these individuals a new way to process trauma and reclaim their mental and physical health.
What began as a capstone project quickly grew into a full-fledged mission to help anyone dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, or other mental health challenges. Today, Holistic Mind & Muscle proudly serves a diverse range of clients—from teens and families to individuals facing life’s toughest challenges.
